One of the best things about the double crochet stitch is how quickly projects work up when you use it! It’s not a common stitch for amigurumi projects, but you’ll see it frequently with others!
Let’s learn how to work a double crochet below:
Step 1: Starting Position
Step 2: Yarn over crochet hook
Step 3: Insert into desired stitch
Step 4: Yarn over hook again
Step 5: Pull through
Step 6: Yarn over hook again and pull through those first two loops on the hook
Step 7: After pulling through 2 loops (Previous step), you should have two loops on hook remaining.
Step 8: Yarn over again and pull through remaining loops
Step 9: You’re finished! Now you’ve got a double crochet!
It’s super easy once you get the hang of it! I encourage you to keep practicing! You’ll know these crochet stitches like the back of your hand soon enough!
